Leave us your memories of YourHabbo on Twitter here!
Thank you and goodnight
If you wish to send the managers a goodbye message, you can send it to goodbye@yourhabbo.co.uk. The site and name are not for sale

In August 2004 I would have never thought that in 5 years time I would co-own one of the longest running and successful Habbo fansites not only in the UK but also around the world, being official on the UK and USA hotels. Well now five years later so much has changed, Habbo is no longer known as Habbo hotel and its pretty unrecognisable and the way Habbo fansites work has also changed.

But like all good things, they have to end, and this is now the final chapter for YourHabbo.co.uk.

Just like the rest of YourHabbo I (Mike) always have to take control, so I will start off the goodbyes with this...

I would personally like to thank everyone who has visited YourHabbo over the past 5 years, because without the visitors we would be nothing, also thanks go to everyone who voted for YourHabbo to become official on the two hotels and thanks to the Habbo staff for helping us along the way. But special thanks go to my good friend and co-owner Andrew who has played a massive part in the making and updating of YourHabbo. I would also like the thank all the staff for their hard work wherever it be creating news articles (or the lack of them!), running events, moderating the forum, creating articles for the newsletter or creating pages for the site. And finally I would like to thank all the managers and co-owners we have had over the years (in no particular order): Andrew (Anzrew), Jonathan (Jhonny-boy), Andrew (Dobzy/Kotu), Lee (Drone007), Matt (Hellie002), Jordy (katie.pricejorda), Ant (Demain), Jamie (Jarkie), Miles (Miloflembo), Harry (Drwho101), Anton (Historically), Antony (dj_dude007), Chelsea (Techfairy), Haydn (Haydn), Bobby (Cirtusdrop) and Joey. I have had an amazing time creating, running and enjoying YourHabbo over the past five years with some great memories, including the amazing management meetings we have had, in which we talked about everything other than YourHabbo :P!

Well I guess its me next then to say my goodbye, there will be no new feature announcement/bug fix this time from me I am afraid. I am hanging up my coding skills for a little while, not for ever though mind you! I would like to thank EVERYONE who has helped make YourHabbo what it is today, from members off staff to the long lasting community, some of you have been here a good few years. I am so proud of what YourHabbo has achieved since its first release back in August 2004 up until now at the end of our 5th Birthday, but its time for us all to move on with our lives and leave this chapter behind ready for more brilliant fansites to fill the gap where we left off.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Mike, who has been a great friend since when I first met him on Habbo (all those many years ago) to running this site alongside him, and have no doubt we will continue to be great friends after YourHabbo. I also want to say thank you to Jonathan who has been one of my best friends IRL and thank you for your hardwork on this site. I have met so many amazing people on this site (too many to mention) and have kept good friends with a lot of them, so my final thank you goes out to all the members of staff who kept this site going and helping us to run it from day to day.
Andrew (anzrew)

Well, how on earth am I going to follow these outros? I'm pretty good at saying goodbye, but I don't know how to say goodbye to over 10,000 people! Over the years we've seen tremendous growth - From what was originally pretty much just a reporting site with events, to something that grew to huge proportions - we never knew it would end up like this. With over 10,000 current users, and we've had so many more in the past, we never knew you guys would like the site that much - but things changed. The way that Habbo (which used to be completely different to how it is now) grew over time left the oldies (yes, we're sad enough to have been on the site for years) feeling alienated from the "younger" generations of Habboers, and that meant we found it hard to connect. Couple that with a lack of time, and we had the recipe for a slow down, I guess.
Over the years, you have made this site amazing. Yes you, stop wondering if I'm talking about you, you, there, behind the computer screen. We did everything for you because you gave us the chance to develop something that was technically beyond any habbo fansite there was. There's nothing we didn't try, but certain sites are you know, are known for certain things, and we were known for news, which is why I'm extremely proud of my (former) news team, you were all great, and you all did your part.
The other owners, of course, have been great. Andrew being a best friend IRL, and Mike generally tearing about the place whipping us all into doing our code work and styling, you guys made this place a fun place to be, and really kept us going through times when we didn't know which way to turn.
Other management people (Jordy, Andru, Ant, Harry, Jamie, et cetera) have also made this a brilliant experience for us all, and each and every one of you had a hand in making us (at one point) the number 1 fan site of all time, and that's nothing to be sniffed at.
I think I'll keep this brief, as I can't go on forever, but in short, You made YourHabbo what it was today.
Please stay in touch, if you want to do so, you can follow me on Twitter
Best of luck to you all.
Jonathan (Jhonny-boy)

Well heres my attempt! I'm usually no good at these things, but here we go! I've had a brilliant few years here at YourHabbo, I came in as a reporter and made it all the way to the management! I would like to thank everyone with whom I've been associated with. The YH community was one of the most tight knit, though small, which made it all the more personal! I remember coming in after the closure of Habbos.co.uk, back then, there was no user system, no forum and there wasn't any of the great interaction we now get with these features. The magazine layout came and gone, members came and gone, but we stayed. YourHabbo kept adapting, but in some sense, stayed the same. Although we've had sad departures of management, and triumphant returns, the core of YourHabbo remained, its brilliant community. Although YourHabbo has had its fair share of bad times, its always picked itself up and moved on, but sadly this time we've chosen to bow out gracefully. None of that would have been possible without your help, your contributions, your criticism and your constant support. Whether you were staff, member or someone who just pops in every now and again, its you people who made this site what it was. From a site that came from nothing 5 years ago, to what it is now, YourHabbo has had some journey, and I'm sure as hell glad to have been a part of it. I'm going to miss the brilliant community that has blossomed here.
Ant (demain)

I can't remember how long I've been apart of YourHabbo, but I do remember it being before the user system, so that's a good couple of years! I've been staff here for about a year and a half and have enjoyed every moment! Becoming management was a big step up and running the radio station was a truly amazing role and was one that I will never forget! Although the radio died at a young age, just one month, becoming a technician on the site was what I really wanted and after much patience, my time had come and here I am today, a YourHabbo technician along with Jon and Andrew.

All the staff that is and ever were have been amazing and their efforts and hard work is what has made YourHabbo what it is and if it wasn't for the staff and especially the community here, the site would have shut a long, long time ago! The site has amazing managers (excluding myself of course) and has had amazing managers in the past and everyone who has ever imputted to the site should feel proud of the outcome.

YourHabbo was an amazing site, that had an amazing community and as the saying goes; as one door closes another opens. So as the virtual doors of YourHabbo close, the entire team of managers along with the owners wish all the staff and users that have ever been on the site all the best for the future.
YourHabbo will be missed and remembered for years to come.

Wow, hasn't time flown, I never saw myself doing this but all good things must come to an end! :( Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped me in the past and present I couldn't have gotten so far in the YourHabbo world without you.

What a roller-coaster we all had and the excitement of a new site layout, never grows old. We've been thrown so much since 2004 and it is all now at an end. From when I started being a normal user all the way to management is a big achievement and I'll never forget the days when I got the message about become a media staff I was over the moon, then events then moderator and now community manager!
Wow what a life time. So once again thank you for making such a fantastic site, if it wasn't for Andrew, Mike, Kuto, Drone007 and Jonathan this site would have never worked.
I am so going to miss this site and everyone that uses it! :(
R.I.P YourHabbo 2004 - 2009

Any site which has ran for five years is truly remarkable and YourHabbo is of course no exception. One of the longest ever running Habbo fansites it would seem and not only one of the longest lasting ones, one of the best ones. No fansite could stay open five years unless it was truly brilliant.

I started at YourHabbo about three years ago with the traditional magazine layout, even then it seemed totally different to how it is now, it really shows how much the site has evolved. As well as YourHabbo evolving it's clear that Habbo has changed as well, different people play the game and there's been various changes to the hotel, whether it's changed for the good or bad, it's certainly changed with out doubt and I hope the next generation of Habbo users enjoy it like we did. I've had an excellent time at YourHabbo and although it is sad to go, let's not forget the 10,000 members, the five years, the fact it's official on two of the largest Hotels and those unforgettable (Dare I say disturbing at times), management meetings.

I would of course like to thank whoever employed me first and allowed me to work my way up, I can't remember who it was but thanks. Well done and thank you to Andrew & Mike you've achieved so much together and should be immensely proud of what YourHabbo has been. Andrew's amazing coding skills and Mike's guides and dedication continue to astound me. And of course it's been a joy to work with all the other management and hard-working staff, some of the dedication you've put in is remarkable. Last of all, you, the members, truly remarkable people, thank you once again for making YourHabbo what it was!
